Street work on Forest Park Parkway begins Wednesday, April 22nd

Starting Wednesday, April 22nd, street work begins on the Medical Campus that includes work on Forest Park between Euclid and Taylor Avenues. Work includes the installation of a new TFC duct-bank extension on the south side of Forest Park from TFC manhole # 15, at the intersection of Euclid and Forest Park, eastward to TFC manhole # 64 at the intersection of Forest Park and Taylor. This work will include the installation of a concrete enclosed, (16) 4” conduit duct-bank, and two new manholes between these two points. The path should run approximately 10’ north of the south curb in the eastbound traffic lane of Forest Park between Euclid and Taylor.

Weather permitting, the planned duration of this work is through close of business, July 6th. All work will be outdoor work. With the exception of daytime work done April 22nd – April 24th, all street work will be performed during second shift, beginning at on Monday, April 22nd at 6pm and ending on Saturday, April 24th at 6am.

There will be lane closures involved during preparation, work, and cleanup, and traffic shifts will occur in the work area on Forest Park. Euclid and Taylor traffic, in one lane of the intersections, should have minimal impact to traffic. Some construction equipment may be staged on the street in the work area for the duration of the project.

There will be traffic and safety controls to include flagmen, cones, plating (where appropriate), and warning signs during provided during all work times.
