BJC Institute of Health Vertical Expansion – Hope Plaza Closure

On Saturday, February 19, 2022 Alberici Healthcare, LLC will close Hope Plaza to all pedestrian use as part of the BJC Institute of Health (BJC IOH) Vertical Expansion Project.

Alberici will begin the installation of the jobsite fencing around Hope Plaza to establish the construction work area for use during the BJC Institute of Health (BJC IOH) Vertical Expansion Project. The installation of the jobsite fence will occur in two (2) phases – Phase 1 – Installation of the barricades at ground level, and Phase 2 – Installation of the fencing on top of the barricades.

Once the barricades are installed on Saturday, February 19, 2022, all pedestrian walkways will be re-routed around the plaza perimeter. (See attached diagram). Please expect this change in pedestrian walkway routing when you arrive on campus Monday, February 21, 2022.
On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, installation of the fencing on the barricades will begin. All work on the jobsite construction fencing is expected to complete by EOB on Friday, February 25, 2022.

The Hope Plaza closure is expected to remain in place through December 2024.

If your work on campus takes you in or around the BJC IOH building and Hope Plaza, please anticipate shutdowns, disruptions and inconveniences associated with the construction of this project.
Your patience and cooperation, while we work to improve campus is sincerely appreciated.
