Effective immediately, the northwestern corner of the Plaza Garage will be blocked on every level as contractors make preparations to construct new garage lobbies and the pedestrian bridge as part of the Plaza Entry Project. Each level of the garage will temporarily lose approximately 40 spaces. The image shows the first level of the garage. The same areas are closed on Levels 2 and 3.
Although the lobbies and bridge construction won’t begin until next year, there is extensive work that needs to take place prior to construction.
The smoking area on the first level will remain accessible, with directional signage pointing the way.
The 3+ year Plaza Entry Project will include a complete transformation along Barnes Jewish Plaza, including a new lobby in the garage and pedestrian bridge, new and expanded drop off, and renovated and expanded street and main level lobbies. Exterior work starts in June, followed by interior work next year. Read more about the Plaza Entry Project here and visit the Campus Renewal website to stay up to date on the project, and see videos, renderings and photos.
