Facilities Operations Update

Leadership changes within the Operations & Facilities Management effective July 1, 2022

To support the Medical Campus growth, the Operations & Facilities Management Department has prepared a five-year organizational plan, including several leadership changes listed below, effective July 1, 2022.

Jim Stueber, Senior Director, will transition to a strategic project role and step out of his direct leadership role in Facilities to support several critical initiatives for our multi-year planning effort. He will focus on assisting with Energy Program Development, Utilities Master Plan, Stormwater Master Plan, Custodial/Campus Restoration Audit and Recovery Plan, and the Campus Resilience Plan. He will retire from the University in July 2023.

With this change, Mark Hume, Director, will manage Facilities Engineering, Utilities, Energy Management and the Power Plant. Mario Turner, Director, will continue to manage Custodial Services and Custodial Contracts.

As we work to solidify final organizational plans for the campus expansion, we will be engaging our leadership team in the final planning to review projects, staffing levels and service enhancements. We are grateful for all employees who have continued adapting and evolving their organizational roles.
