At approximately at 8:00 AM on December 18th there was a mechanical failure with the East McDonnell Air Handler Units causing temperatures to fluctuate due to reduced airflow on the floors. At this time Facilities Engineering is in the process of recovering the Air Handler Units. A follow-up message will be delivered once all mechanical systems and room pressures are working in a normal manner.
UPDATE: THE AIR HANDLER UNITS THAT SERVE FLOORS 1, 6, AND 7 AND THE EAST SIDE OF FLOORS 2, 3, AND 4 HAVE BEEN REPAIRED. THE UNIT THAT SERVES THE WEST SIDE OF FLOORS 2, 3, AND 4 IS STILL IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED. AT THIS TIME, FLOORS 2, 3, AND 4 ARE OPERATING AT REDUCED AIR FLOW WHICH MAY RESULT IN TEMPERATURE AND AIRFLOW FLUCTUATIONS.
