Facilities Operations Update

Street work notification – Duncan Avenue

Sent on behalf of Barnes-Jewish Hospital

Please be aware that beginning the week of February 27, Sachs Electric (ArchKey) will be working on the Medical Campus to unblock one 4” conduit on Duncan Avenue.

This work will consist of entering manhole #5 (between Taylor and Newstead) and using a Vac-Tron to unblock one of the conduits to install a cable inner-duct in the future. *Please see the included raceway map for manhole reference and Traffic Plan.

Weather permitting, the planned duration of this work is through the morning of Friday, March 3.

All work will be done during the evening/night shifts, beginning daily at 10 pm and ending at 5 am. There are NO anticipated street closures, but intermittent lane obstructions and traffic shifts will occur.
There will be no excavation with this work, only entering manholes and removing material.

Adhering to Federal, State, and Local transportation regulations, the Sachs crew will provide traffic and safety control to include flagmen, cones, plating (where appropriate), and warning signs during all work times. A Traffic Safety Plan for this work will be filed with BJH Environmental Health & Safety and the City of St. Louis Street Department. To ensure worker safety, Sachs vehicles, equipped with warning lights, may be employed to block manholes as they are accessed.

Also, please direct any questions or concerns to Tony Noto 314-304-0953 or KarNaia Davis 706-750-3364.
