Facilities Operations Update

October 10-24: Child Development Center at the Taylor Avenue Building Parking Lot, Busch Lot, and Busch Drive Exterior Repair Work

Work on the parking lot at the Child Development Center, located in the Taylor Avenue Building, as well as the Busch lot and Busch Drive, will take place from October 10 to 24, 2025 (weather permitting). This work includes replacing the asphalt paving in a portion of the Child Development Center parking lot entrance at the Taylor Avenue Building, as well as milling, patching, and crack filling along Busch Drive.

Work Schedule and Traffic Impacts

  • October 10-22: Crews will perform pavement improvements. Only minimal traffic impacts are expected during this period. Following the initial work, there will be an approximately 1-foot drop-off between the new Phase 1 asphalt and the existing Phase 2 asphalt. BJH will place cones to prevent vehicles from driving over the edge.
    • During the parking lot work, the normal traffic patterns will be modified. The current one-way traffic will become 2-way traffic. A flagger will be available to assist in directing traffic in and out of the parking lot.
  • October 22 (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.): Busch Drive, north of the Clayton Garage, will be closed in both directions, including the north entry and exit of the garage. The shuttle stop on the north side of the garage will also be closed. Please use the shuttle stop on the other side of Clayton Garage during this time.
  • Throughout the project, one lane in the Busch Drive lot will remain open, with a flagger on-site to help direct traffic.
