Maintenance Technician III (posting #45501): This position provides facilities maintenance services to assure quality conditions for mechanical/electrical systems and building structures.

Facilities Tech II (Carpenter/Small Projects) (posting #45807): This position requires the individual to be the facilities carpenter for small projects, prioritizing and accomplishing a variety of structural and architectural repairs, as well as interior and exterior finish and furnishing maintenance etc. at Washington University School of Medicine.

Facilities Tech II (Energy Management Technician) (posting #45796): This position performs duties of a communication gathering center for Washington University School of Medical. Dispatch received messages or information to the appropriate security or maintenance personnel.  Documents all alarms, requests for service, employee absence or tardy, information that has been reported by telephone, energy management system, fire alarms system etc.  Performs set point adjustments, stops and starts mechanical equipment, modifies and creates sequences of operations programs and performs diagnostic test to all energy management and fire alarm compute systems installed at Washington University School of Medicine.  Provides a first response to emergencies when regular maintenance personnel are not on campus.

Facilities Control Technician III (posting #45534): This position acts as the onsite maintenance technician for assigned areas, prioritizing and accomplishing or securing assistance for accomplishing a variety of maintenance conditions and problems.

Heavy Equipment Preventive Maintenance Mechanic (posting #45145): This position provides recognized procedures and techniques to safely perform duties repairing and servicing of equipment.  The mechanic will primarily work on generators, cooling towers, pumps, and chillers.  The mechanic will assist others on larger projects and will perform other duties as assigned.

Planner II (posting # 46315): This position plans, analyzes, estimates and completes conceptual and detailed work products in support of the strategic efforts for facilities projects ensuring efficiency within designated budget. Serves as an ambassador of OFMD. Consults and communicates with WUSM departments regarding planning and project advancement.

Communications Officer (posting #46314): This position reviews and forwards information in both emergency and non-emergency modes through two-way radio communication, telephone communication, intercom, alarm system/video monitoring, computer interface and face-to-face human contact on a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) day per week basis.  All transactions are recorded for future use via radio log.

Custodian II (Day Porter) (posting #46135): This positions provides general custodial services by performing a variety of cleanings tasks to maintain a safe and healthy work area for staff, students, and faculty. Provides a high level of customer service. Performs as subject matter expert in general cleaning, works as a floater in your assigned campus area, completes small deep cleaning projects, and operates floor care machines.

Facilities Technician II (General Maintenance) (posting 46033): This position is responsible for the minor repair of plumbing fixtures and light fixtures, responding to reports of leaks, clearing minor sewage blockages, and replacing ceiling tile.  The applicant will work with ice machines and hoods as well

Facilities Technician III (Door Technician/Carpenter) (posting 46015): This position acts as on-site door and carpentry maintenance technician for assigned areas, prioritizing and accomplishing or securing assistance for accomplishing a variety of maintenance conditions and problems.

Custodian (2nd shift) (46002): This position provides custodial services for a department by performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and healthy work area for staff and visitors.

Senior Custodian (posting 45912): This position supports the area supervisor, guides and directs custodial employees assigned to area and assists with scheduling and coverage problems. Serves as a back-up to the supervisor when they are absent or unavailable. Ensures all phases of job tasks are completed daily and observes work performance for both quality and quantity. Identifies training needs and advises the custodial supervisor.

Engineering Project Manager (posting #44598): This position manages all aspects of Medical School Construction Projects from Preliminary Planning through Project Closeout.

Senior Project Manager (posting #44597): This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of Architects and Engineers performing design development through construction documents and  interfaces with and advises WUSM departments (pre-clinical & clinical) and central administration regarding design and construction issues for WUSM. This position also falls under the category of an Owner’s-Representative model of construction management.

Referral program

OFMD employees could be paid a referral bonus upon the referring employee’s completion of 12 months of employment (with no corrective action). To submit a nomination and for more information, please fill out the employee referral form . This form must be filled out and returned to Melanie Strowmatt prior to hire in Olin, room 100.
