Facilities Technician I (Lighting Technician) (posting 46535): This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs to all of the lighting systems utilized at the School of Medicine. Replaces bulbs, ballasts and diagnoses other lighting problems throughout the University Complex.  Repairs requiring a more highly-skilled craftsperson should be reported to immediate supervisor.

Floor Care Technician (custodial services) (posting #46463): This position is responsible for floor cleaning and maintenance throughout campus. Will be required to work with cleaning chemicals and will need to be able to understand safety data sheets for those chemicals. Responsible for hard surface, carpet and wood floors, scheduled by supervisor in public areas and as requested by customers utilizing commercial equipment.

Preventive Maintenance Mechanic/Tech I (posting #46405): This position provides diversified preventive maintenance as a skill to select equipment. The position is responsible for servicing air handler units, exhaust fans, pumps and other equipment. Facilities Control Technician III – Building Services (posting #46383): This position acts as the onsite maintenance technician for assigned areas, prioritizing and accomplishing or securing assistance for accomplishing a variety of maintenance conditions and problems.

Facilities Technician II (Energy Management Technician) (Swing Shift) (posting #46384): This position performs duties of a communication gathering center for Washington University School of Medical. Dispatch received messages or information to the appropriate security or maintenance personnel.  Documents all alarms, requests for service, employee absence or tardy, information that has been reported by telephone, energy management system, fire alarms system etc.  Performs set point adjustments, stops and starts mechanical equipment, modifies and creates sequences of operations programs and performs diagnostic test to all energy management and fire alarm compute systems installed at Washington University School of Medicine.  Provides a first response to emergencies when regular maintenance personnel are not on campus.

Maintenance Technician III (posting #45501): This position provides facilities maintenance services to assure quality conditions for mechanical/electrical systems and building structures.

Facilities Tech II (Carpenter/Small Projects) (posting #45807): This position requires the individual to be the facilities carpenter for small projects, prioritizing and accomplishing a variety of structural and architectural repairs, as well as interior and exterior finish and furnishing maintenance etc. at Washington University School of Medicine.

Communications Officer (posting #46314): This position reviews and forwards information in both emergency and non-emergency modes through two-way radio communication, telephone communication, intercom, alarm system/video monitoring, computer interface and face-to-face human contact on a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) day per week basis.  All transactions are recorded for future use via radio log.

Custodian II (Day Porter) (posting #46135): This positions provides general custodial services by performing a variety of cleanings tasks to maintain a safe and healthy work area for staff, students, and faculty. Provides a high level of customer service. Performs as subject matter expert in general cleaning, works as a floater in your assigned campus area, completes small deep cleaning projects, and operates floor care machines.

Custodian (2nd shift) (46002): This position provides custodial services for a department by performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and healthy work area for staff and visitors.

Senior Custodian (posting 45912): This position supports the area supervisor, guides and directs custodial employees assigned to area and assists with scheduling and coverage problems. Serves as a back-up to the supervisor when they are absent or unavailable. Ensures all phases of job tasks are completed daily and observes work performance for both quality and quantity. Identifies training needs and advises the custodial supervisor.
