At approximately 6:58 PM on Thursday, August 12th there was a mechanical failure with an Air Handler Unit. At this time Facilities Engineering is in the process of recovering the Air Handler Unit. No work should be performed in the 4th floor BSL3/ABSL3 suites. A follow-up message will be delivered once all mechanical systems and room pressures are working in a normal manner.
As of 9:30 PM on Thursday, August 12th all HVAC systems have returned to normal operation and all A/BSL3 or BSL3 alarms have returned to normal. All activities may resume in the affected areas.
