The purpose of this outage is to perform maintenance and testing on the main electrical switchgear that distributes power throughout Maternity Hospital. This requires de-energizing the necessary switchgear so that we can safely and effectively perform the required work. This work will ensure that our main electrical systems will continue to provide safe and reliable power. This outage will affect all power throughout Maternity Hospital on Sunday, March 27th 7 am-11 am. Any lighting, receptacles or equipment connected to normal power, will be off for the duration of this outage. However, the generator will run and provide power to a limited number of lights and equipment that are connected to the generator backed emergency power system.
