A mechanical contractor will be installing cross-connect panels in the large supply air handling units (AHU-1 and AHU-2) that serve all of the labs in MPRB. The work will be completed on two consecutive over-night outages as follows:
November 16th (Wednesday): 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning.
November 17th (Thursday): 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning.
During the outage, the following operational conditions will be expected:
• There will be no supply air to all of the labs in the building. Supply air and space temperature for these areas will be affected.
• There will be no exhaust airflow to all of the non-BSL3 laboratories in the building. No work should occur in the fume hoods during the work periods listed above.
• The exhaust airflow to all of the BSL3 lab suites will remain operational during the outages; however, the supply air will be off. NO work may occur in the BSL3 suites (7230, 7301, 7303, and 8201) during the outages.
• The supply and exhaust airflow will be turned back on to all labs for a period of one hour in the middle of the outage each night to temper the labs and equipment corridors.
