BJCIH rooftop strobic exhaust fan smoke testing

To validate wind study results on the BJCIH Vertical Expansion project, workers will perform a smoke test of the existing Strobic exhaust fans. This test will involve placing a smoke candle into the plenum box of the current fans on the roof of BJCIH and documenting the plume height.

This testing will result in smoke rising from the fans in 5-10 minute intervals during the hour of testing. Workers have notified the City of St. Louis Fire Department of this upcoming testing.
We have tentatively coordinated this testing to take place on Tuesday, August 8th from 6 am to 7 am with a backup date of Thursday, August 10th from 6 am to 7 am. The testing is weather dependent and will be canceled due to high wind speed or rain.
