On April 1, 2024, the management of the Core Apartments located on the south side of the School of Medicine campus transitioned from Quadrangle Housing to the Operations & Facilities Management Department (OFMD).
The Core Apartments offer fully furnished studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments at the 718 and 818 sites. The complex of historic buildings, named on the National Register of Historic Places, opened as the Core in summer 2018 after being renovated into modern living spaces. The buildings are home to a library, courtyards with picnic areas, a fitness center, and game, music, and study rooms. Each unit has a washer, dryer, and kitchenette. Common kitchens offer additional gathering and socializing spaces.
The management team will be led by new OFMD team members Christopher Smith and Matthew Bellini, with leadership support from Rudo Gray, Director, Technology & Customer Service Operations, and Jamie Ryan, Executive Director, Business Operations & Auxiliary Operations. Christopher and Matthew will oversee the property’s day-to-day operations while being supported by a team of OFMD maintenance, custodial and protective services. Christopher and Matthew will be living on-site to provide additional support for the property.
