On Friday, March 8th 3-7 am a contractor will be repairing the door frame of B148 inside suite B140. Occupants in the vivarium should expect to see construction personnel and will experience construction noise.

Contractors will be turning off the vacuum system that serves the lower level along with floors 7-11. No vacuum will be available beginning on Saturday, March 23rd at 7:00 am and run through Sunday, March 24th until 6:00 pm.

On Thursday, March 7th 4-8 am there will be no DI Water will be available for the 10th floor. This will affect all lab sink faucets and any Millipore systems utilizing DI Water.

On Monday, March 11th 6 am-10 pm Johnson Controls will be replacing the network control engine that serves 432/442 ABSL3 suite. NO work may occur in the 432/442 ABSL3 suite during this outage. All other ABSL3 suites in the 4th floor biohazard area will be available during this outage.

On Friday, March 1st 8 am – 12 pm facilities technicians will be troubleshooting and repairing a possible sink leak in BSL3 Suite 8201 lab 8201C. During this time NO work shall be conducted inside of BSL3 suite 8201.

The purpose of this outage is to perform maintenance and testing on the ‘D’ feed portion of the McKinley Substation switchgear. On Saturday, March 16th from 4 am to 4 pm Air handling unit 1 will be off for replacement of bearings at the Specialized Interim Research Building. In this time there will be 50% heating, cooling, and supply air flow to the building.

On Saturday, March 9th from 5:30 am to 3:30 pm there will be a building wide exhaust outage for the Biotechnology Center for replacement of exhaust fan on the roof. In this time there will be no exhaust flow to fume hoods, restrooms, and general exhaust for the entirety of the building.
