EV charging stations are located in the Clayton, Newstead and Metro Garages. In the Metro Garage, the EV owner must provide the charging unit. The EV spaces in the Clayton and Newstead Garages require WashU Medicine parking. The Metro Garage has limited EV spaces on the 3rd floor of the garage, and a permit is not required to use these two spaces, as they are first-come, first-serve. The Newstead Garage includes 36 EV spots in the garage (levels 1P, 2P, 4P, 5P, 6P and 7P – 6 on each level). The Clayton Garage includes 22 permit-required EV spaces on levels P1-P6.
Vehicles parking in the designated EV spaces must be electric and plugged in when using the Clayton, Newstead and Metro Garage spaces.
EV parkers can sign up for a Clayton or Newstead Garage EV permit at the FISC Desk (first floor, Mid Campus Center), pending availability. Please view our monthly rates for the most updated EV permit rate.
