On Thursday, November 14th, from 8 pm to 12 am, facilities technicians will reduce airflow to the lower-level vivarium and BSL3 suite during the above-noted time to perform preventative maintenance. During this time, NO work shall take place in the B120 BSL3 suite.

On Saturday, November 16th, 6 am – 12 pm, contractors will turn off the air handler serving the lower level to make necessary repairs. During the above-noted dates and times, the lower level will notice fluctuations in temperatures and airflow.

On Saturday, November 16, from 6 am to 12 pm, contractors will turn off air handlers serving floors, lower level, 2, 9, and sections of 3, 4, and 5 to make necessary repairs. During this time, these areas will experience a loss of airflow and fluctuating temperatures.

On Saturday, November 9th, from 3 to 11 am, Facilities Engineering will shut off all domestic cold water to replace a valve for the building’s potable water supply. This will affect all bathrooms and sinks in the building.

On Wednesday, November 6th, from 8:30 to 9:30 am, BSL3 lab suite B120 will be shut down to investigate the cause of smells inside the lab. During this time, NO work shall occur inside the suite.

On Thursday, November 7th, elevator #160 will be taken out of service for approximately 2 hours for repairs. It will be returned to service once the work is complete.

During a routine inspection of the HVAC system, the building technician noticed a noise different from normal coming from the air handling unit serving the 4th floor. On Friday, November 1st, 9:30-10:00 am, OFMD needs to check the calibration of one sensor to finish the recommissioning effort for the 452/462 ABSL3 suite. The work will not impact the 452/462 suite; however, as a precautionary measure, no work may occur in the 452/462 suite during this outage.
