Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported several missing personal checks from her bag located in her office on the first floor of the MCC. The theft occurred within a week's time frame. Some of the checks had been fraudulently negotiated at unknown locations.  The SLMPD responded and took a report.
Disposition: Referred to the SLMPD.

Location: BJC Institute of Health (BJCIH) 2nd Floor
Synopsis:  A WUSM custodian left a custodial cart on the 2nd floor Link in the BJCIH while she went on break. When she returned approximately 30 minutes later, the cart was gone. A review of CCTV footage in the area showed an unidentified subject took the cart and walked with it through the link into the Clinical Sciences Research Building (CSRB). The subject encountered passing Children's Hospital Public Safety officers, who confronted her about the cart. The subject abandoned the cart and left the area. The cart was recovered in the CSRB. The subject was identified on 7/29/2023, after Protective Services officers found her attempting to sleep outside the Clayton Garage. Barnes-Jewish Hospital Public Safety (BJHPS) officers had warned her against trespass after she was found sleeping in an unlocked vehicle that did not belong to her. BJHPS provided her pedigree. A relevant BOLO was issued to campus security in an effort to prevent her from future trespass.
Disposition: Suspect Identified. Investigation Complete

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee received a cardigan as a gift on 7/28/2023. She placed it on her desk at approximately 4:30pm. She left her office with the door open and returned about an hour later. The cardigan was gone. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A BJH employee parked his bicycle at the MCC bike rack, secured with a cable lock, on 8/3/2023. When he returned for it on 8/4/2023, the bike was missing. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified person arrived on campus on foot and stole the bicycle. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported several items were taken from an office suite. A review of CCTV footage showed an unaffiliated subject entered the unlocked office. Protective Services identified the subject and is continuing to investigate.

Location:  4444 Forest Park Ave. Northeast Bike Rack.
Synopsis:  A WUSM student parked his bicycle at the 4444 Forest Park Ave. northeast bike rack and secured it with a cable lock. CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject used bolt cutters to remove the cable lock and stole the bicycle. Protective Services is investigating.
