Synopsis: A contract employee reported his wallet and car keys missing from his backpack. The contractor left his backpack in the hallway of the 5th floor of the North Building which is under construction. He later noticed some ear plugs on the floor near his backpack. He checked the backpack and determined his wallet and keys were taken. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Mid Campus Center (MCC) Bike Rack
Synopsis: Protective Services responded to the MCC bike rack for a report of someone stealing a bicycle. Officers located the subject a short distance away. The bicycle was recovered and the subject was arrested by the SLMPD for theft.
Disposition: Suspect Arrested. Judicial Disposition Unknown.

Synopsis: Protective Services responded to the Euclid Power Plant bike rack for a report of a stolen bicycle. An employee secured her bicycle to the rack with a cable lock at approximately 6:30 am. When she returned at 8:00 pm, the bike was gone. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject stole the bike around 5:45pm. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: Protective Services responded to 4488 for a report of a stolen cell phone. The employee set her phone down in the lobby of WUCA Pediatrics and stepped away for a few minutes. When she returned, the phone was gone. She attempted to locate the phone through GPS. The phone pinged away from campus. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: Protective Services responded to the MMSB and met an employee who stated her wallet had been stolen. The employee removed a credit card from her wallet which she kept in a backpack under her desk. She left for lunch and upon her return, the wallet was gone. One of her credit cards was used at a nearby gas station. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A Protective Services officer found a cut cable lock on the ground near the Euclid Power Plant bike rack. A review of CCTV footage and access control records revealed a student had parked the bike at the rack and secured it with the cable lock. An unidentified subject later arrived to campus via the MetroLink, removed bolt cutters from his waistband, cut the lock, and departed campus on the bike. The officer sent the student an email to notify them of the incident.

Location: Neuroscience Research Building (NRB) Bike Rack
Synopsis: Protective Services took a phone report of a stolen bicycle. A WUSM employee parked a bicycle at the bike rack located at the west entry to the NRB at 8:00am. The bike was secured with a cable lock. When she returned for the bike at 4:50 pm, it was gone. A review of CCTV footage showed two unidentified subjects cut the cable lock and removed the bicycle. Shortly thereafter, the pair stole another bike from the Duncan Central Garage before leaving campus. A relevant BOLO was disseminated to campus security.

Synopsis: Protective Services responded to the McMillan Hospital Building for a report of a suspicious person. Officers located a subject who was a known trespasser. The subject stole and was wearing WUSM scrubs and a white lab/physician coat. Officers detained the subject and recovered the stolen clothing. They removed the subject from the building and ensured that he departed campus.
Disposition: Suspect Identified. Investigation Complete

Synopsis: A WUSM employee reported her bicycle was missing from the Euclid Power Plant bike rack. He believed he secured his bike with a U-Lock. However, upon his return to the rack, the U-Lock was secured to the rack with no signs of tampering and the bike was gone. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject stole the bike approximately 30 minutes prior to the employee returning to the rack. Protective Services is investigating.
