Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported the theft of the registration tag from her license plate. Her vehicle was parked on the surface lot of the 4511 Forest Park Ave. Building. Her vehicle was on the lot from approximately 9:00am until 7:00pm. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack
Synopsis:  While monitoring CCTV around campus, Protective Services dispatchers observed a suspicious person tampering with a bicycle at the Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack. The subject stole a bike and rode away just prior to officers arriving at the rack. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported leaving her bag in a secured room in the North Building for approximately 15 minutes. When she returned, she believed her bag had been rifled through and an envelope of cash was missing. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A subject stole a piece of equipment designated for a repair in the Clayton Garage. Protective Services identified the subject and sent out a campus wide security BOLO in an attempt to locate the subject.

Synopsis:  Protective Services officers took a phone report for the theft of a license plate tab from a vehicle parked in the Duncan Central Garage. The employee reported the theft on 3/4/2024 but last saw the sticker on 2/29/2024. The employee was uncertain where the theft occurred. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A former WUSM employee reported to Human Resources that a large quantity of cash was missing from her unlocked locker in the SIRF East building. Protective Services investigated the complaint and provided the results of the investigation to Human Resources.
Disposition: Investigation Complete. Referred to Human Resources.

Location: East McDonnell Special Research Facility (EMSRF) 7th Floor
Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported her phone was taken from the 7th Floor breakroom of the EMSRF. The employee used her phone during her lunch break and left it in the break room while attending a meeting. Upon returning to the breakroom, the phone was gone. The employee attempted to call it, however it went straight to voicemail, indicating it was powered off. Protective Services is investigating. UPDATE: The theft was reported to the SLMPD with a suspect name. The suspect was a WUSM employee who has since been terminated. The phone was later recovered.
Disposition: Protective Services Investigation Complete. Referred to the SLMPD.
