McMillan Hospital – Air Handling Unit Service Interruption

8:15 a.m.-12:25 a.m.

As of 12:25 a.m. the repair to the Air Handler Unit has been completed and all BSL3 room pressure alarms have returned to normal.  All work activities may resume in the BSL3 facility at this time.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. the Air Handler Unit that supports the 11th floor BSL3 facility began to experience operational issues causing several pressure alarms for rooms 1103, 1103-D and 1103-E. At this time NO WORK should take place within this lab. At this time Facilities Engineering is in the process of recovering the Air Handler Unit. A follow-up message will be delivered once all mechanical systems and room pressures are working in a normal manner.

We thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
