Elevator 102 will be out of service on Sunday, June 1st, at 8 am for 4 hours to perform preventive maintenance. It will be back in service at noon. During this time, the elevators will also be tested on generator power.

On Wednesday, May 14th, 6 am – 4 pm. The parking area on the East side of the East McDonnell Facility will be closed to all vehicular traffic. A crane will be placed in the parking area to assist in the repair of the cooling towers located on the roof of the building.

Tuesday, May 13th 8-9 am revisions to the access control programming for the 8201 BSL3 suite will be completed during the outage. NO work may occur in the 8201 BSL3 suite during the outage.

On Tuesday, May 27th, 6 am – Thursday, May 29th, 2:30 pm. Exhaust fans 24, 25, and 27 will be shut down to assist the contractor in removing and replacing the ductwork on the roof. This will affect the building exhaust on the 8th floor, rooms 880H through 880Q, the fume hood in 880Q, and […]

On Wednesday, May 28th, 7 am-3:30 pm, elevator #5 will be taken out of service to allow contractors to perform final work on the fire alarm controls for this elevator. The elevator will be returned to service once the work is complete.

Starting Wednesday, May 14th, at 5-7 am and Friday, May 16th, at 5-7 am, facilities along with contractors will be interrupting power for an upgrade to the system. This outage will affect airflow and temperature regulation on the east side of the building. Lab spaces will have limited temperature control and can be warmer than usual. On Thursday, May 15th, 3-6 am, the HVAC system supply and exhaust system flows may be reduced to the 4th and 5th floor vivarium and lab spaces to perform preventive maintenance. NO work shall be performed in any BSL3 lab during this time.

Starting Sunday, May 18th, June 1st, and June 15th. During the time above, facilities along with contractors will be performing tests on the duct detector system of the fire alarm. There will be no alarms or strobes heard or seen during these tests.
