On Tuesday, November 26th, 7-11 am, the building will have limited airflow and temperature control during the duration of this outage. Indoor temperatures may vary from ideal.

Contractors will be doing work in the ceiling directly over the first floor hallway near the outdoor courtyard. The hallway will be partially obstructed with hanging plastic for their work space. Building temperatures for the first floor may vary from ideal.

Elevators 51 and 52 will each be removed from service so the contractor can install a surge suppression device. While one elevator is down, the other will remain operational. All work is expected to be completed by noon.

Facilities will conduct an electrical outage on Sunday, November 17th, 7- 11 am. This outage is for servicing and cleaning the switchgear to ensure that the electrical system throughout the building is in proper working order. On Thursday, November 14th, 6:30- 7:30 a.m., facilities and contractors will test the fire alarm system (Audio and Visual). There will be audible alarms and visual strobes throughout the building. THIS IS ONLY A TEST; there is no need for evacuation.

Entrance Area 1015 will be closed for Air Curtain install on Wednesday, November 13th 6 am – 3 pm. Please use other entrance on the right .

On Tuesday, November 19th 3-6 am facilities will be conducting a test of the generator and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) for Joint Commissioning. The Facilities team will be performing annual preventive maintenance on the HVAC systems serving the MCD-562 BSL3 lab on Wednesday, November 11th 4-8 am. NO work shall take place in the BSL3 lab while the work is being completed.

On Friday, November 8, from 8 to 9 a.m., BSL3 lab 431/441 will be out of service to conduct testing. During this time, no work will take place in the lab.

Elevator #56 (Dirty Elevator) will be removed from service for a complete remodel. The remodel project will take approximately 19 weeks.
