The NTA elevator #5 will be taken out of service, as needed, between 7 am and 3:30 pm on Thursday, May 29. This will allow contractors to install new fire alarm devices in the elevator machine room and on top of the elevator hoist ways.

In support of the annual recommissioning of the Boon select agent lab, the 7230 BSL-3 suite will be out of service from May 28th, at 8 am through June 11th, at 5 pm.

During the dates and times noted below, the facilities operation will perform testing and upgrades on the Boon lab HVAC system. On Monday, May 26th, from 3 to 9 am, BJH Facilities will shut down the domestic water supply to the building to repair the backflow system. On Tuesday, May 20th, from 8-9 am, the access programming for the 8201 BSL3 suite will be updated. NO work may occur in the 8201 BSL3 suite during this outage.

On Tuesday, May 20th, 7 am-12 pm, areas on the 9th floor of the Wohl Clinic building will experience intermittent airflows. Facilities will monitor the space as they finish up repair work on the unit that serves the area.

From May 21st until May 27th, contractors will be working on the exhaust pipes of the BJC-IOH generators and the Wohl Hospital generator exhaust. Starting Sunday, June 1st, 7 am- 3:30 pm, facilities and contractors will perform tests on the fire alarm’s duct detector system during the above times. No alarms or strobes will be heard or seen during these tests.

On Friday, May 16th, 8 am – 1 pm, contractors will replacing a valve on the building’s heat system. During this outage, the building will experience some temperature fluctuations.

Due to upgrades being made to the building, no heat will be generated on Thursday, May 15th, 6 am-12 pm. Outside temperatures and system adjustments should make temperature changes minimal. We will be monitoring temperatures in critical areas as well. Autoclaves and cage wash will not be affected by this outage.
