On Thursday, November 14th, 6:30- 7:30 a.m., facilities and contractors will test the fire alarm system (Audio and Visual). There will be audible alarms and visual strobes throughout the building. THIS IS ONLY A TEST; there is no need for evacuation.

Entrance Area 1015 will be closed for Air Curtain install on Wednesday, November 13th 6 am – 3 pm. Please use other entrance on the right .

On Tuesday, November 19th 3-6 am facilities will be conducting a test of the generator and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) for Joint Commissioning. The Facilities team will be performing annual preventive maintenance on the HVAC systems serving the MCD-562 BSL3 lab on Wednesday, November 11th 4-8 am. NO work shall take place in the BSL3 lab while the work is being completed.

On Friday, November 8, from 8 to 9 a.m., BSL3 lab 431/441 will be out of service to conduct testing. During this time, no work will take place in the lab.

Elevator #56 (Dirty Elevator) will be removed from service for a complete remodel. The remodel project will take approximately 19 weeks.

On Thursday, November 14th, from 8 pm to 12 am, facilities technicians will reduce airflow to the lower-level vivarium and BSL3 suite during the above-noted time to perform preventative maintenance. During this time, NO work shall take place in the B120 BSL3 suite.

On Saturday, November 16th, 6 am – 12 pm, contractors will turn off the air handler serving the lower level to make necessary repairs. During the above-noted dates and times, the lower level will notice fluctuations in temperatures and airflow.

On Saturday, November 16, from 6 am to 12 pm, contractors will turn off air handlers serving floors, lower level, 2, 9, and sections of 3, 4, and 5 to make necessary repairs. During this time, these areas will experience a loss of airflow and fluctuating temperatures.

On Saturday, November 9th, from 3 to 11 am, Facilities Engineering will shut off all domestic cold water to replace a valve for the building’s potable water supply. This will affect all bathrooms and sinks in the building.
