On Friday, April 19th from 3 am to 8 am there will be a vacuum system outage for the entire building of the McDonnell Medical Sciences Building for construction on the fourth floor. In this time frame there will be no vacuum to lab bench’s, hoods, and anything else requiring vacuum.

The east entrance to the ground floor of The Biotechnology Center, accessible from Scott Ave, will be temporarily closed for necessary infrastructure repairs from April 17th 10 am – May 3rd 5 pm. However, you can still easily access the building by utilizing the entrance directly west along Scott Ave.

Facilities will be turning off the domestic cold and hot water. No domestic water will be available to the entire building On Thursday, April 18th. This outage will start at midnight and end at 7 am. This will affect restrooms, sinks, and anything else that requires domestic water.

Midwest Elevator will be performing service work to the NRB Garage elevators. They will be taking one elevator at a time out of service starting at 7am on Monday, April 15 through 4 pm on Thursday, April 18. During this time, there will always be two elevators in service while one elevator is down.

On Wednesday, April 17th 8 am – 12 pm a facility technician will be making repairs to the emergency eye wash in BSL3 suite 431/441. During this time NO work shall take place within the BSL3 suite.
