Temporary stays
The Core Apartment Residence offers temporary housing options for guests of the University who wish to stay for two days up to three months. Departments who bring guests to campus for extended periods of time such as visiting faculty or a student coming for a rotation depending on availability can stay at The Core. The Core also provides accommodations for visiting students, faculty, staff members and those individuals pursuing research, internships and educational opportunities.
Eligibility
Guest Accommodations are available to official visitors and guests (students, researchers, scholars, consultants, and new appointees) affiliated with the University. A letter from the sponsoring department certifying the applicant’s affiliation must be submitted via email to thecore@wustl.edu. If the sponsoring department is assuming responsibility for payment, the department account number must be included in the sponsorship letter.
Short Stay FY24 Rates:
- $90 per night
- $457 per week
- Hoteling Rooms B1-B17: $945 per month
- Short Stay Studio Apartments 102 & 104: $1750 per month
Reservations can be made up to 2 months in advance. Full payment must be collected within 1 month of stay.

Parking

818 Core Fitness Center 2-Hour Visitor Parking Form
Please fill out this form if you want access to the five two-hour parking spots. The signed spots are located in the 818 Core parking lot outside the side entrance to the 818 Core building.
NOTE: No parking is allowed in the rest of the 818 lot or 718 circle drive unless you have a permit or permission. Transportation & Parking (T&P) could ticket you. PARKING IN THE FIVE TWO-HOUR SPOTS IS FOR THE FITNESS CENTER, MULTI-PURPOSE WORKOUT ROOM, AND ANY ROOMS OR AREAS ON THE FIRST FLOOR OF THE 818 BUILDING. If you park in the spots and leave to go to class, grab lunch, meet someone, etc. T&P could ticket you. If all five spots are full, you may park in the Clayton Garage and pay the hourly rate or use street-metered parking.
