Synopsis:  A WUSM employee called Protective Services to report an unknown woman had walked behind the counter of Kaldi's on the first floor of the FLTC. The woman was acting erratically and not making sense. Officers made contact with the woman who refused to exit the building. She created a disturbance and had to be restrained. SLMPD was called to the scene. They called for a called for a Crisis Intervention Team member and removed the woman from campus property.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported receiving threats from a patient. The patient called the employee from the lobby phone in the TAB Extension building and threatened physical harm. The patient was gone upon Protective Services' arrival. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  An unaffiliated subject entered the Physical Therapy suite in the @4240 Building, causing a disturbance. Officers responded to the area and determined the subject was likely intoxicated or otherwise inebriated. The SLMPD was called to the scene and took custody of the subject.

Synopsis:  A courier flagged down a Protective Services officer on Euclid Ave. near the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center to report a disturbance. A subject was standing in the middle of Euclid Ave. The courier attempted to drive around him at which time the subject kicked the courier's vehicle. The courier exited his vehicle. The subject postured as though he was going to punch the courier, so the courier re-entered his vehicle and drove away. He located a Protective Services officer approximately one minute later. Officers located the subject described by the courier. The subject was hostile and aggressive, and threatened to harm the officers. Officers took the subject into custody. While in custody, the subject spit on an officer. The subject was turned over to the SLMPD.
Disposition: Suspect Arrested. Judicial Disposition Unknown.

Incident No. 2305-00205 (Protective Services Incident), Report No. 23-023478

Location: MetroLink Platform, Hope Plaza, Euclid Ave.
Synopsis:  Protective Services offered assistance to Metro Public Safety in dealing with a subject who was causing a disturbance and appeared to be intoxicated or in an otherwise altered mental state. Metro Public Safety originally declined assistance until numerous calls were made about the subject. Metro Public Safety removed the subject from the platform by escorting him up the stairs toward Hope Plaza. Protective Services Officers monitored the subject who was behaving increasingly erratic. The subject's physical health rapidly declined at which time Protective Services officers stepped in and began medical treatment. The SLMPD and EMS were called to the scene. The subject was turned over to police custody.

Location: Clinical Sciences Research Building North Tower Addition (CSRB NTA) 3rd Floor
Synopsis:  Protective Services responded to the CSRB NTA for a report of a disturbance involving an employee. An employee became upset during a meeting with her supervisor. She caused a disturbance by cursing at her co-workers and throwing her ID badge at her supervisor. Protective Services officers escorted the employee from the building where she continued to yell and curse at officers. She left campus without further incident.

Synopsis:  A former Bon Appetit employee showed up at the Farmstead Cafe. She spoke with several current Bon Appetit employees. The former employee made several threats of violence against on of the current employees. Current employees contend the threats were unprovoked. Protective Services is investigating.

Location:  222 S. Newstead Ave. surface lot
Synopsis:  Protective Services responded to the parking lot of the 222 S. Newstead Ave. surface lot for a subject who was damaging a Tarlton Construction trailer. The subject carried a 2x4 wooden board and a long metal pole. Officers made contact with the subject who appeared to be in the midst of mental health crisis. The subject had broken out several windows of the trailer. The SLMPD responded to the scene and issued a summons to the subject. The SLMPD removed the subject from campus.
