Location: Mid Campus Center (MCC) Bike Rack
Synopsis: A BJC contractor reported his bike was missing from the MCC bike rack. He parked his bike at 7:00am and secured it with a cable lock. Upon returning at 3:40 pm, the bike was gone. A review of CCTV footage showed a subject removed the bike from the rack at 7:15am. The subject is known to campus security and has stolen bicycles from both the WashU Medical and Danforth campuses in the past. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A BJC employee parked his scooter at the Euclid Power Plant bike rack at about 6:45am. He secured it with a cable lock. When he returned at about 7:30pm, the scooter was gone along with the cable lock. He valued the scooter at about $250. A review of CCTV in the area revealed an unidentified subject stole the scooter at about 5:18pm. He departed with the scooter via the MetroLink at the Cortex platform. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A visitor to campus reported the theft of $342 in cash. The visitor pulled into the parking lot at 4444 Forest Park Ave. and stopped at the entrance gate to pull a ticket. While pulling a ticket, unbeknownst to her, she dropped her jacket containing her wallet. She realized her jacket and wallet were missing about twenty minutes later. Both the jacket and wallet had been turned into the security desk inside the 4444 Forest Park Ave. Building. When the she looked through her wallet, she determined things had been moved around and all of her cash was missing. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A WUSM employee reported the theft of her bicycle from a rack outside of the Fort Labs. The employee secured her bicycle to the exterior bike rack with a cable lock at about 9:30am. When she returned at 7:00pm, the bicycle was gone. A review of CCTV footage showed a male and female subject approached the bike rack at about 4:00pm. The male subject cut the cable lock and removed the bike. He rode away while the female subject walked behind him. The male subject is a known bike thief. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A WUSM employee parked her bicycle at the south rack of the 4444 Forest Park Ave. Building and secured it with a cable lock at about 1:00pm. When she returned at 5:30pm, the bicycle was gone. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject cut the cable lock and stole the bicycle at about 3:25pm. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: Protective Services responded to the 6th floor of the Wohl Hospital Building for a report of a theft and suspicious activity. Someone had entered the suite over the weekend, rearranged office furniture and supplies, and stolen a phone charge and miscellaneous office items. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A WUSM employee reported a bluetooth speaker was missing from her office. She left the speaker charging in her locked office overnight. Upon returning the next morning, the speaker was missing, but the charging cord was present. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: Protective Services received a call from an unidentified person who reported witnessing someone cut a bike lock and steal a bicycle from the Euclid Power Plant bike rack. The subject who stole the bicycle was gone before Protective Services officers arrived. A review of CCTV footage revealed the subject to be a known bike thief on campus. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A WUSM employee reported the theft of her wallet, which possibly occurred as she walked to work. On 5/14/2025, the employee noticed fraudulent charges on her credit card and realized that her wallet was missing. She last saw her wallet two days prior. However, she believed the likeliest scenario is that the wallet fell out of her bag while she walked to work on 5/14/2025. Protective Services is investigating.
