Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to the Euclid Power Plant Bike and spoke to a WashU Medicine student who reported his electric scooter was stolen. CCTV showed an unidentified subject took the scooter about 45 minutes prior to the report. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A BJC nursing student reported his bicycle was missing from the Maternity Hospital courtyard bike rack. He parked the bike at about 6:55am and secured it to the rack with a cable lock. When he returned at 3:30pm, the bike was gone. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WashU employee reported placing her purse in a locker on the 8th floor of the Southwest Tower at about 3:00pm. She did not lock the locker. When she returned to her purse at about 5:00pm, she noticed several items missing from her purse, including credit and debit cards. She determined that her card was used to attempt purchases at a nearby local business. The purchases were blocked by the bank because the employee immediately canceled the cards upon noticing they were gone. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WashU employee reported that on 7/27/2026 her wallet was stolen from her purse that was in a cabinet above her desk. Her office is located on the 5th floor of the McMillan Hospital Building. She did not realize her wallet was missing until around 2:00pm. Her credit cards were used for fraudulent purchases in the St. Louis area. She and a co-worker observed a suspicious person in the area around the time of the theft but did not immediately notify security.  Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WashU employee reported parking his bike at the Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack on 8/21/2026 at approximately 7:00am. When he returned at 6:00pm, he discovered the front tire of the bicycle was missing from the bike. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject removed the tire approximately 45 minutes prior to the employee returning to the rack. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A Barnes-Jewish employee reported parking his bike at the Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack on 8/21/2026 at approximately 6:45pm. He secured the bike to the rack with a cable lock. When he returned on 8/22/2026 at 7:45am, he found the cable was cut and left on the ground. The bicycle was gone. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WashU Medicine student parked her bicycle at the bike rack on the south side of 4444 Forest Park Ave. The student forgot a bike lock, so the bike was not secured to the rack. When she returned to retrieve her bike, it was gone.  A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject stole the bicycle and immediately left campus. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WashU Medicine student reported that his vehicle had been ransacked and a multitool was stolen from within. He parked his vehicle at the Euclid Meters at approximately 6:00am. He left his passenger side door unlocked. When he returned at about 5:24pm, he saw that his glovebox had been opened, and the center console had been ransacked. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject arrived on campus via the MetroLink and walked to the Euclid Meters. He entered the passenger side of the student's vehicle and left campus. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported the theft of her license plate renewal tags while her vehicle was parked at the 4488 Forest Park Ave. surface parking lot. Her report prompted others who park on the lot to check their vehicles. One other employee reported the theft of the tags off of her vehicle, as well. A review of CCTV footage in the area showed an unidentified subject tampered with the license plates of both vehicles. Protective Services is investigating.
