Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to the CID Research Building for a report of a theft. A WashU Medicine contract employee left her purse and phone on a table in the hallway of the first floor for approximately three hours. When she returned, her phone and wallet were missing. She pinged her phone and determined it was somewhere in Hazelwood, Missouri. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: 
  A WUSM employee reported the catalytic converter was stolen from his delivery truck while it was parked at 4533 Clayton Ave. surface parking lot. A review of CCTV footage showed that an occupant of an unidentified SUV crawled under the truck for several minutes. The occupant then re-entered the SUV and left campus. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack
Synopsis:  A WashU Medicine student reported his bike was missing from the Euclid Power Plant bike rack. He had secured the bicycle to the rack with a cable lock earlier that day. CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject arrive to the area on a bicycle which he left at the bike rack. He then stole another bike from the rack and walked it to the MetroLink station. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: 818 S. Euclid Core Apartment Residences Surface Parking Lot (818 Lot)
Synopsis:  A WashU Medicine student reported his vehicle was broken into while parked on the 818 Lot. A backpack was stolen from the backseat. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject occupying a silver minivan broke into the vehicle on 5/15/26 at about 2:15am. The minivan proceeded to other areas of campus and appeared to attempt to tamper with other vehicles. No other thefts or damage have been reported. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to the BJCIH for a report of fraud. A WUSM faculty member reported that his personal credit card had been used to purchase DoorDash orders for approximately five months without his knowledge. He used to buy lunch for his staff once a week. He stopped doing so in November 2025. However, since that time, his credit card was used to purchase over $800 worth of DoorDash orders without his approval.  Protective Services is investigating.

When he returned, he found that the quick-release bicycle seat was missing. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified subject stole the seat and left the area. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to the 9th floor of the MCC for a report of a theft. A WashU employee had previously reported suspicious activity at her cubicle. When she came to work on 6/30/2026, she noticed that her wrist pad was missing. She last saw it on 6/24/2026. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: Couch Biomedical Research Building (CBRB) Bike Rack
Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to the CBRB for a report of a theft. A WashU Medicine student reported her electric scooter was stolen. She parked the scooter at the CBRB bike rack at about 9:00am. The scooter was not secured to the rack. She noticed the scooter was still present at lunch, around noon. It was missing at 5:00pm when she checked on it.  Protective Services is investigating.
