Synopsis: 
Protective Services officers responded to a report of property damage on the 4444 Forest Park Ave. surface parking lot. A contract employee parked his truck on the lot at 7:30pm. When he returned just after 9:00pm, he noticed the driver's side window was broken. The interior center console had been rifled through. However, nothing was missing. A review of CCTV footage showed an unidentified driver in a silver SUV entered the lot at approximately 8:40pm, broke out the truck's window and climbed inside briefly before leaving the area. Protective Services is investigating.

A WUSM employee reported damage to her vehicle while parked in the Metro Garage. She reported several scratches as though her vehicle had been keyed on the hood and rear quarter panel. CCTV footage revealed the employee arrived on campus with the damage present.

Synopsis: A WUSM employee attempted to “piggy-back” behind a vehicle exiting the gated parking lot at 1234 S. Kingshighway without using an ID card. While the vehicle was exiting, the gate arm came down on the employee’s vehicle, causing the arm to be knocked off the post. The employee left the area without notifying anyone of the damage. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A WUSM community member reported the exhaust pipe of her vehicle was cut while parked in the Clayton Taylor Garage. The community member had the vehicle towed to a repair shop. The mechanic advised her that the damage was likely from an attempt to steal the catalytic converter from her vehicle. Protective Services reviewed CCTV footage of the garage and located a suspect vehicle in the garage. The same vehicle was seen in the Barnes Jewish South Garage on 12/15/2020. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A WUSM community member reported damage to the driver’s side window on his vehicle parked in the Cortex One parking lot. The community member parked in the lot at approximately 4:00 a.m. and discovered the damage at approximately 12:15 p.m. A Protective Services officer found a chunk of concrete laying on the ground nearby. No other vehicles in the parking lot appeared to be damage. Protective Services is investigating. The SLMPD was notified and took a report.
Disposition: Referred to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Investigation Ongoing.

Synopsis: A Protective Services officer noticed a gate arm down at the southwest gate of the 1234 S. Kingshighway parking lot. A review of CCTV footage revealed the damage occurred two days prior. Two shuttle buses approached the gate. The first shuttle opened the gate arm and went through. The second shuttle followed immediately after without stopping causing the gate arm to come down on the shuttle and break off the post. The damage was not reported. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: A shuttle bus attempted to “piggyback” after another bus through the entrance of the 1234 S. Kingshighway parking lot. The gate arm came down on the bus causing it to break from the post. The driver moved the broken gate arm from the traffic lane to the side of the road but did not report the damage at the time of occurrence. The information was provided the shuttle bus contract vendor to handle the disciplinary action for the driver.
Disposition: Investigation is complete.
