Synopsis:  A WUSM student made a delayed report of damage to her vehicle while parked at the 1234 S. Kingshighway Building parking lot. After leaving the parking lot on 10/25/2022, the student noticed a low pressure alert for one of the tires. The student checked the tire and found a slash. The student's vehicle was visible on CCTV during the time it was parked on the lot. CCTV footage did not show anyone cause damage to the vehicle while it was parked.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported a suspicious paper was left on her parked vehicle in the Clayton Garage. The paper was a printed meme with a cat that read "Last day at work - who said you could leave." There is no CCTV coverage in the area the employee parked. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  Two WUSM faculty reported receiving voicemails from a person claiming to be a Florissant Police Officer. The caller to the faculty they had missed a court date and needed to call back to reschedule. Neither faculty member called the number or spoke with the subject. Protective Services notified the Florissant Police Department who had already opened an investigation.
Disposition: Referred to the Florissant Police Department

Location: 4480 Clayton Ave.
Synopsis:  A WUSM employee parked a University-owned truck on the back lot of the 4480 Clayton Ave. building on 2/9/2023. The employee believed the truck contained about a quarter of a tank of gas. Another employee attempted to use the vehicle on 2/16/2023. The truck would not start and the gas gauge showed it was empty. The employee saw the gas tank cover was open and the cap was hanging below it. The employee believed someone may have siphoned gas from the truck. A review of CCTV footage in the area showed the gas tank cover was not latched upon the truck being parked and large gust of wind blew it entirely open at which time the gas cap fell out. The employee later tried to put gas in the tank, however it leaked out. Upon inspection, it appeared holes were drilled into the bottom of the gas tank. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported a patient sent unsolicited messages to her on social media and sent an inappropriate gift to the employee's home address. Faculty Practice Plan spoke with the patient about the inappropriate communication. Protective Services will standby for future appointments with the patient.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported that she secured her laptop in her desk in her office on the 5th floor of the 4444 Forest Park Ave. Building at the end of her work day on 3/28/2023. Upon returning to her office on 3/30/2023, the laptop was sitting open on top of her desk. No other items were disturbed or missing. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  An unaffiliated subject located a City's Finest police officer in the area and reported that someone had chased him through the WUSM campus and robbed him. Protective Services officers arrived on scene and attempted to obtain more information. The subject provided several areas  where the alleged robbery took place but could not provide information on what property was taken from him. Investigators reviewed CCTV footage in the areas described by the subject and found no footage of the subject being chased or robbed. The SLMPD reported to the scene and did not classify the incident as a robbery.
Disposition: Referred to the SLMPD. Further Disposition Unknown.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported a subject who identified himself as a resident physician with a Chicago based hospital entered the 13th floor of the NWT and attempted to find a WUSM physician. The subject had left the area prior to Protective Services being called.  The subject appeared agitated when the WUSM employee denied access to the WUSM physician. The WUSM physician had no knowledge of the subject and no appointments with the subject. The WUSM employee and physician both believed the behavior of the subject was highly suspicious. Protective Services created a BOLO for the subject which was disseminated to campus security.

Location: Forest Park Dialysis Center, 4205 Forest Park Ave.
Synopsis:  A WUSM employee located at the Forest Park Dialysis Center called Protective Services to report suspicious activity outside the clinic. An unknown subject who appeared to be living in his vehicle had thrown glass bottles of urine in the street and sidewalk outside the clinic. The employee reported that the same subject had been known to leave dirty undergarments on the parking lot the clinic and put toilet paper in nearby trees. When Protective Services officers arrived, the subject was gone. The vehicle was parked on the street. Protective Services contacted the SLMPD and referred the report to them.
Disposition: Referred to the SLMPD.

Synopsis:  Protective Services officers assisted the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) with traffic control while the SLMPD conducted a felony traffic stop on Forest Park Ave. The SLMPD officers arrested the occupants of the vehicle without incident. A Protective Services officer decided to thoroughly check the route the suspect vehicle took on campus. The officer located a discarded firearm in a landscape bush on S. Kingshighway Blvd. near Children's Place. The officer turned over the weapon the SLMPD.
Disposition: Referred to the SLMPD. Disposition Unknown.
