Location: Mallinkrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) 6th Floor
Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported suspicious activity in a suite on the 6th floor of the MIR. Upon entering the suite Monday morning, the employee found several framed pictures removed from the walls and thrown in the Shred-It bin. Other items around the office were thrown into trashcans or into the hallways. Nothing was damaged or stolen. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported receiving a suspicious package in the mail. The package had a return address from South Korea, although there was no indication the package was sent internationally. The contents of the package were seemingly random and not applicable to the department. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported his lab on the 3rd floor of the BCB was twice found unlocked in the morning when he locked it the evening before. Items were shuffled and moved around. However, nothing was stolen. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported that items were shuffled and moved around in his lab on the 10th floor of the CSRB. Nothing was stolen or damaged. Protective Services is investigating.

Location:  Couch Biomedical Research Building (CBRB)
Synopsis:  Protective Services responded to the CBRB to speak to an employee who received several suspicious voicemails on his work phone. The voicemails sounded like pre-recorded gunshots and sirens. The phone number from which the calls came is not registered to anyone. It is likely a VOIP number.  Protective Services is investigating.

Location: S. Taylor Ave and McKinley Ave.
Synopsis:  Protective Services officers located personal property on the sidewalk on S. Taylor Ave. at McKinley Ave.  The property contained personal items, debit cards, drug paraphernalia, and a suspected controlled substance. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police department responded and took custody of the property.  The subject who left the property departed the area on foot prior to Protective Services' arrival.

Location: Children's Hospital Visitor Garage
Synopsis:  Protective Services officers responded to assist St. Louis Children's Hospital Public Safety and BJH Public Safety for a report of possible gunfire on the top level of the Children's Hospital Visitor Garage. The SLMPD also responded to the scene. One adult and two juvenile subjects were located in the garage. There was no evidence of gunfire and no injuries were reported. However, a pellet that typically is loaded into a BB gun was found lodge in a vehicle nearby. All subjects involved were identified. No arrests were made. All subjects were escorted from campus and warned against future trespass.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported finding some clothing and miscellaneous medical items stored in a cabinet in his office. The office is usually locked. However, it may have been unlocked overnight. Protective Services is investigating.

Location: S. Taylor Ave. at Chouteau Ave.
Synopsis:  WUSM employees flagged down Protective Services officers in the area of S. Taylor Ave. and Chouteau Ave. to report the occupants of a silver sedan shot a pellet gun at them. The employees did not sustain any injuries. The SLMPD responded to the scene and took a report for assault.
Disposition: Referred to the SLMPD.
