Synopsis: An intoxicated subject was found unconscious in the first-floor lobby of the GCWB. Officers woke the subject and determined he was an unaffiliated person staying at the nearby DoubleTree Hotel. The subject was too intoxicated to be released. Contact was made with a family member. They arranged for a friend to pick up the subject. He was released to the friend with a warning against future trespass.

Synopsis: An unidentified subject stole a backpack that was briefly unattended. The backpack belonged to an employee who had left it while he loaded something else into a vehicle. The employee immediately noticed the bag was missing and saw the subject walking away with it. He pursued the subject and caught up to him at Euclid and Forest Park Avenues. There was a brief struggle for the backpack. Ultimately the employee recovered his backpack and was uninjured in the process. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis: Protective Services officers found a known trespasser had locked himself in the vestibule of the 4480 Clayton Ave. Building. The subject initially refused to listen to officer’s commands to open the door. When an officer decided to enter from another door, the subject unlocked the vestibule. He was passively resistant to being arrested. The subject was placed in handcuffs and taken to the Mid Campus Center. The SLMPD was called but failed to respond to campus. The subject was released and reminded of his numerous trespass warnings.

Synopsis: Two contractors began arguing with each and causing a disturbance at the dock for EPNEC and Chick-fil-A, located on Nash Way. The disturbance was precipitated by one contractor blocking the other in the dock. Protective Services officers attempted to de-escalate the situation. However, one of the contractors initially ignored the officers commands. Eventually the situation was calmed. All involved parties declined to press charges and moved along.
