Location: Euclid Power Plant Bike Rack
Synopsis:   A WUSM employee parked his bicycle at the Euclid Power Plant Bike rack, secured with a cable lock. When he returned to the rack, the bike was gone. CCTV footage revealed two subjects cut the cable lock and stole the bicycle. Protective Services is investigating. UPDATE 6/7/2023: One of the subjects involved in the bicycle theft was located on campus and arrested. The SLMPD took custody of the subject. The bicycle was not recovered.
Disposition: Suspect Arrested. Judicial Disposition Unknown.

Stolen Firearm

Location: Duncan Taylor Garage (DTG)
Synopsis:   A Children’s Hospital employee reported to BJH Public Safety that someone had entered her vehicle parked in the DTG and stolen a firearm from the center console. CCTV showed an unidentified subject entered the garage approximately an hour before the employee returned to her vehicle. The subject then left campus via Metro Bus. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD)  took a report.
Disposition: Referred to the SLMPD.

Larceny

Location: Duncan Taylor Garage (DTG), Laclede Garage, University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy (UHSP) Garage
Synopsis:   A subject was observed in the UHSP garage pulling on vehicle door handles. Later that same day, the same subject was observed in the DTG and Laclede Garage entering unlocked vehicles. The subject stole a credit card from one of the vehicles. BJH Public Safety located and detained the subject. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) responded and took the subject into custody.

Synopsis:  Five vehicles were broken into while parked at the Euclid Meters. CCTV showed a white SUV occupied by 4 unknown subjects were responsible for the break-ins. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) responded to the scene and took a report.

Synopsis:   A Barnes-Jewish Hospital employee reported their Hyundai was damaged while parked in the Plaza Garage. The steering wheel column was damaged in a likely attempt to steal the vehicle. Reported to Barnes-Jewish Public Safety. No further information.

Vandalism

Location: Hope Plaza near the Mid Campus Center (MCC)
Synopsis:   A Protective Services officer noticed graffiti on a recycle bin near the MCC. A word, possibly “sky” was painted in yellow on the exterior of the bin. A review of CCTV footage showed the vandalism occurred on March 11th.  Protective Services is investigating.

Stolen Auto

Synopsis:   A Barnes-Jewish Hospital employee reported her Kia Soul was stolen from the DCG. Barnes Jewish Public Safety officers located broken glass on the ground near where the employee had parked her vehicle. The gate arm at the exit to the DCG was also broken. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD)  took a report.

Stolen Auto

Location: 4240 Duncan Ave. (@4240)
Synopsis:   An unaffiliated outside vendor truck was parked on the surface lot of the @4240 Building. The driver of the truck was loading cargo into the back of the truck when he felt the truck begin to move. He jumped out of the cargo area of the truck, just as an unidentified subject drove off in the truck. A review of CCTV showed an unidentified subject entered the truck as the driver was loading and sped away with the loading dock still lowered to the ground. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) responded and took a report.
