Synopsis:  Protective Services officers assisted the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) with traffic control while the SLMPD conducted a felony traffic stop on Forest Park Ave. The SLMPD officers arrested the occupants of the vehicle without incident. A Protective Services officer decided to thoroughly check the route the suspect vehicle took on campus. The officer located a discarded firearm in a landscape bush on S. Kingshighway Blvd. near Children’s Place. The officer turned over the weapon the SLMPD.

Synopsis:  A Barnes-Jewish Hospital employee reported that an argument regarding a private matter escalated when an unaffiliated subject presented a weapon and possibly fired one round. The incident took place near the West Pavilion as the employee was walking in to work. No one was injured. The matter was reported to Barnes-Jewish Public Safety and to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Protective Services is assisting both departments in locating CCTV footage. Synopsis:  Protective Services offered assistance to Metro Public Safety in dealing with a subject who was causing a disturbance and appeared to be intoxicated or in an otherwise altered mental state. Metro Public Safety originally declined assistance until numerous calls were made about the subject. Metro Public Safety removed the subject from the platform by escorting him up the stairs toward Hope Plaza. Protective Services Officers monitored the subject who was behaving increasingly erratic. The subject’s physical health rapidly declined at which time Protective Services officers stepped in and began medical treatment. The SLMPD and EMS were called to the scene. The subject was turned over to police custody.
