Auto Theft

Synopsis: A vehicle belonging to a delivery driver was stolen from the 4488 Forest Park Ave. surface parking lot while the owner was making a delivery inside the building.  The visitor had left the vehicle running and unsecured just outside the building’s entrance.  A review of CCTV footage revealed a subject walking southbound through the area entered the vehicle and drove away.  The subject reported the incident to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD).  Protective Services is assisting the SLMPD with the investigation.

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported being harassed in Hope Plaza outside the Mid Campus Center. Six teenagers approached the employee and took her cup. They asked for money and attempted to look in her purse. The employee took back the cup and walked away from the teenagers. Protective Services officers confronted the teenagers at the MetroLink platform. They told officers they were just joking. The employee declined to press charges. The teenagers were identified and allowed to leave on the MetroLink. Investigation Complete

Synopsis:  A WUSM employee reported cash missing from an unlocked locker in the locker room of the 5th floor of the CSRB NTA. The employee placed a quantity of money in her locker on the morning of 4/4/23. When she returned later that afternoon, the bulk of the money was gone. On 4/5/23 she placed the rest of the money in the unlocked locker. When she returned later that morning, the rest of the money was gone. Protective Services is investigating.

Synopsis:  A Protective Services officer observed a subject sleeping on a bench on the first floor of the Wohl Clinic. The officer did not observe any ID badge or visitor’s tags. The officer woke the subject and asked her business on campus. The subject became verbally combative and hostile. The subject attempted to walk farther into the Wohl Clinic. The officer prevented her from doing so. The subject spit in the officer’s face and tried to leave. The officer detained the subject and called the SLMPD to campus. The SLMPD arrested the subject for assault and active warrants.
