Drugs and Alcohol on Campus

The manufacture, distribution, possession or use of illicit drugs and the unlawful possession, use or distribution of alcoholic beverages on university property or as part of its activities is prohibited. The Protective Services Department will assist local Police with enforcement of Federal and State alcohol and drug laws on campus.

A drug-free environment is promoted on campus. Violations of the drug-free policy will be handled according to existing policies and procedures covering the conduct of administrators, faculty, staff, and students. View the University’s Drug and Alcohol Policy here. Anyone who violates the law or University policy is subject to discipline within the University. Students are subject to discipline under the University Judicial Code with sanctions ranging from warnings to expulsion. Faculty and staff members are subject to a range of sanctions up to and including dismissal. Those who violate the law are also subject to criminal prosecution.
