This outage will affect all normal equipment power, lighting and receptacle power on every floor in the East Building. There will be limited generator power for emergency lighting and critical equipment. The purpose of this outage is to perform maintenance and testing on the main electrical switchgear that distributes power throughout the East Building. We will be de-energizing this switchgear so that we can safely and effectively perform the required work. This work is necessary to ensure that the East Building will continue to have a safe and reliable electrical system.
