Facilities Operations Update

Laying the foundation for our future

Sent on behalf of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

Construction is underway for the new 16-story patient care tower on Kingshighway at Barnes-Jewish Plaza and the team is preparing to pour the foundation on which the building will stand. You are invited to be a part of this exciting Campus Renewal Project milestone.

Complete this form by Tuesday, July 19, to share your thoughts or well wishes for the patients who will receive care in the new tower, or a message to team members and physicians who will provide care to those we serve. The printed messages will be placed in the concrete foundation, which will be poured in early August.

The new 16-story tower includes 224 private inpatient rooms (32 rooms on seven floors) and 56 intensive care unit (ICU) rooms (28 rooms on two floors). Surgery prep and recovery, imaging and cafeteria and dietary program also are being designed into the new building, as well as significant improvements along Barnes-Jewish Plaza to simplify and enhance arrival and wayfinding. The phased opening of the tower is scheduled for 2025-2026.
