The purpose of this outage on Sunday, October 16th 7:00 am – 11:00 am is to perform maintenance and testing on the main electrical switchgear that distributes power throughout the West Building and IWJ. This requires de-energizing the main electrical switchgear so that we can safely and effectively perform the required work. This work will ensure that the main electrical systems will continue to provide safe and reliable power. This outage will affect all lighting, receptacles and equipment connected to normal power on every floor in both the West Building, and in IWJ. There will be generator back-up power for the lights receptacles and critical equipment connected to the emergency power system, but all normal power will be off for the duration of the outage.
