Campus Street Work – Euclid Avenue

Sent on behalf of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

On Tuesday, October 11th, Sachs Electric (ArchKey) will begin street work on the Medical Campus that includes installing a new underground fiber optic cable between Forest Park and Children’s Place, that will also include the IOH construction zone.

This work will consist of cable-pulling efforts in the street through the TFC Raceway System at various times, along the following bi-directional path – beginning at Forest Park and Euclid, TFC MH #15, and heading south through TFC MH’s 14, 13, 12, and (46 within construction zone), then turning west through the construction zone to TFC MH 47, then south into the IOH BEF. See drawing.

Weather and circumstances permitting; the planned duration of this work is through close of business, Tuesday, October 18th.
All work will be done during the day shift, beginning daily at 07:30 am and ending at 5:30 pm each day. The work path will include access to numerous TFC manholes. There are NO anticipated street closures involved, but intermittent lane obstructions and traffic shifts will occur.

The Sachs crew will provide traffic and safety control to include flagmen, cones, plating (where appropriate), and warning signs during all work times. To ensure worker safety, Sachs vehicles, equipped with warning lights, may be employed to block manholes as they are accessed.
