This is the second of two outages required to perform this work. The purpose of this outage is to perform maintenance and testing on the 5KV distribution switchgear, on the MCD-Dock. This second outage only requires de-energizing half of the line-up, so that we can safely and effectively perform the required work. This work will ensure that the main electrical systems will continue to provide safe and reliable power. This outage will affect the following Buildings:
• FLTC
• Becker Library
• Olin Hall
• North Building
• Cancer Research
• South Building
• McDonnell Science
These buildings will be switched to the ‘W’ Feed only, and will be on one electrical utility for the duration of the outage work on October 30th 7 am – 11 am. We do not anticipate any interruptions or loss of power during this time.
