This will be the second of two outages for the EH&S Building. The purpose of this outage is to perform maintenance and testing on the main electrical switchgear that distributes power throughout the EH&S Building. This requires de-energizing half of the main electrical switchgear, fed from the ‘W’ utility, so that we can safely and effectively perform the required work. This work will ensure that the main electrical systems will continue to provide safe and reliable power. This outage will mainly affect the lighting and receptacle power throughout the building. The generator will run and provide power to lights and equipment connected to the emergency power system.
