Facilities Operations Update

Rescheduled – Clinical Sciences Research Building (CSRB) north and south tower upper roof replacement starts April 3rd

Due to weather, this work has been moved from March 27th to April 3rd.

On April 3rd, Taylor Roofing will set a crane on a portion of the cul-de-sac at the end of Children’s Place to replace the south tower roof. The crane will be on-site for five days (weather permitting). The south sidewalk around the cul-de-sac will be closed to pedestrian traffic during this time. All pedestrian traffic will be redirected to the north sidewalk for west/east campus travel, including to and from the Metrolink station (see map for pedestrian wayfinding route).

The southern curb will be closed to temporary parking. One section of the southern curb will only be allowed for emergency 1st responder temporary parking. Temporary parking for drop-offs and pickups, food deliveries, etc…, will be provided/permitted along designated sections of Children’s Place (see map for details highlighted in yellow). Temporary parking signage will be posted.

A fence will be erected in the southern half of the cul-de-sac marking the construction zone barrier. This barrier will create a restriction leaving 16′ of clearance for vehicles on the southern turn. Please reduce speed along this portion of the turnaround for construction worker safety. Spotters will be on the ground to assist with traffic flow. The cul-de-sac will remain open at all times throughout the entirety of the project. Wohl Hospital, Wohl Clinic, Chromalloy traffic and Chromalloy designated parking will not be impacted. Campus shuttle operations and Call A Ride Shuttles will not be impacted.

For any questions, please contact Antwoine Feaman, Engineering Project Manager.
