This will be the second of two outages on Sunday, May 21st 7-11 am. The purpose of this outage is to perform maintenance and testing on the main electrical switchgear that distributes power throughout the 4515 Couch Building. This requires de-energizing half of the main electrical switchgear, fed from the ‘W’ utility, so that we can safely and effectively perform the required work. This work will ensure that the main electrical systems will continue to provide safe and reliable power.
This outage will mainly affect all mechanical equipment, and lighting power throughout the building. The Generator will run and provide power to lighting and equipment connected to the emergency power system.
