During these overnight outages, a duct cleaning contractor will be completing duct cleaning on the 7th floor… and OFMD will be completing some testing and upgrades to the large supply air handling units (AHU-1 and AHU-2) that serve all of the labs in MPRB.
The work will be completed per the following schedule:
Monday, May 13th – Saturday, May 18th: the outage would begin each evening at 9:00 pm and finish the following morning at 7:00 am.
Monday, May 20th – Saturday, May 25th: the outage would begin each evening at 9:00 pm and finish the following morning at 7:00 am.
- There will be reduced exhaust airflow to all the non-BSL3 laboratories in the building. No work should occur in fume hoods during the work periods listed above.
- The supply air to the labs on the 7th floor of the building including all the BSL3 labs will be off. Supply air and space temperature for these areas will be affected. Spaces may be warmer/cooler than normal during the outage.
- The exhaust airflow to all of the BSL3 lab suites will remain operational during the overnight outages.
- NO work may occur in the BSL3 labs during these overnight outages.
