OFMD would like to provide an update on Hope Plaza. As you know, we used Hope Plaza for construction access and laydown area during the construction of the BJCIH Vertical Expansion.
Starting in June 2024, we will begin preparing to restore the plaza. We will address maintenance on the fountain plaza, improve stormwater capacity, and address other plaza maintenance. We have scheduled preliminary work to start in June and continue through the summer, with the main construction beginning in late 2024 and completing in early Spring 2026.
Over the next several weeks, we will start testing and investigations in the plaza. Specifically, we will perform concrete demolition, testing and mock-ups. If you work or travel near the plaza, please expect noise associated with concrete demolition, equipment, and concrete pouring. Please pardon the inconvenience as we work on restoring Hope Plaza.
