Sent on behalf of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
The remaining structure of the Plaza Garage lobby, the elevators, and the escalators will be demolished for five weekends beginning at 6 pm on Friday, January 17. Barnes-Jewish Plaza will remain open in both directions. While the street will remain open, contractors will close the patient and visitor entrance/exit to the Plaza Garage, including the sidewalk, every weekend because of its proximity to the demolition. Patients and visitors will be detoured to the team member entrance to the Plaza Garage on Clayton Ave. Everyone accessing the hospital from the garage must take the new pedestrian bridge.
- The Plaza Garage patient and visitor entrance/exit will close at 6 pm each Friday. This includes the sidewalk along the entrance/exit ramp.
- The Plaza Garage patient and visitor entrance/exit will reopen by 6 pm every Sunday. This includes the sidewalk along the entrance/exit ramp.
- This work does NOT affect the physicians’ entrance/exit to the Plaza Garage on Euclid.
- Over the weekends, the gates to the team member entrance to the Plaza Garage from Clayton Ave. will allow patients and visitors to enter and exit.
- Weekend team members can still park in the Plaza Garage using the Clayton Ave. entrance. There are no changes to team member parking access.
- Detour signs will be posted, directing patients and visitors.
- The drop-off/pick-up lanes at the hospital entrance will remain open.
- Barnes-Jewish Plaza will remain open in both directions.
- The duration of the project is weather-dependent.
