On Friday, March 28th, the city began a three to four month ramp closure from westbound Interstate 64 to Forest Park Avenue and Grand Boulevard for emergency repairs. During the same period, the westbound lanes of Forest Park, between Compton Avenue and Grand, will also be shut down.
A retaining wall supporting the ramp to Grand needs repairs. The top of the wall “exhibits excessive horizontal movement” toward traffic lanes on Forest Park. The design for the repair has been completed, and the city has contracted with a company to do the work.
